JUTSU DAMAGE
CQC techniques' damage is decided by the user's Strength.
Ninjutsu techniques' damage is decided by the user's Control.
Fuuinjutsu techniques, when capable of dealing damage (namely in case of unsealing techniques) deal damage equal to the user's Fuuinjutsu Proficiency.
JUTSU DAMAGE VS ENDURANCE
Jutsu of all category have their damage uncapped, but their grade and damage relative to the victim's endurance decides how much of an injury the victim will receive.
For reference, if the technique's damage is equivalent to the victim's endurance, then,
If the technique's damage is one tier higher than the victim's endurance, then,
As one might guess, an additional tier of damage (thus two tiers higher than the victim's endurance) would increase the severity of injuries, by another tier. Meaning that if damage is two tiers higher than the victim's endurance, nonskillcard CQC/D ranks would give moderate injuries, C ranks severe, etc.
If the technique's damage is one tier lower than the victim's endurance, then,
As one might guess, an additional tier of endurance (thus two tiers higher than the technique's damage) would decrease the severity of injuries, by another tier. Meaning that if damage is two tiers higher than the victim's endurance, B ranks would give minor injuries, A ranks give mild injuries, etc.
This being said, these injuries are if the damage lands, head on, 100%. Being hit partially or by a glancing blow will, of course, not grant you the full injury stated. Your actions in combat still can determine how things go.
For more information on what these injury types entail, go to the 'INJURIES' section, near the bottom, here!
JUTSU DAMAGE VS JUTSU DAMAGE (CLASHING)
A technique having a higher grade makes the lesser grade technique weaker, for the sake of clashing. Therefore,
JUTSU BINDING CAPS
Techniques' damage are uncapped, but binding techniques, techniques capable of binding, have their binding strength capped by their grade.
CQC techniques' damage is decided by the user's Strength.
Ninjutsu techniques' damage is decided by the user's Control.

If the technique's damage is one tier lower than the victim's endurance, then,
- Non-skillcard CQC and D ranks can be tanked

A technique having a higher grade makes the lesser grade technique weaker, for the sake of clashing. Therefore,
- 1 grade difference = -1
- 2 grade difference = -2
- 3 grade difference = -4
- 4 grade difference = no
JUTSU BINDING CAPS
Techniques' damage are uncapped, but binding techniques, techniques capable of binding, have their binding strength capped by their grade.
- D ranks cap at T1 Binding Strength
- C ranks cap at T3 Binding Strength
- B ranks cap at T5 Binding Strength
- A ranks cap at T7 Binding Strength
- S ranks are uncapped.
