You guys dont need an eventmin to burn down a building. You dont need one to go mining either. Please stop relying on eventmin to be there because you'll just waste your time waiting.

I think it's true that players don't need eventmins to start events, but I think these are perfect opportunities in creating meaningful events. An eventmin can create a bigger impact character-wise by adding effects and devastation. Whenever players wanted to burn down the casino back on Era, I'd always let them try - they'd start their fires with their explosive tags and I'd RP the casino staff dying. Many would perish and cry out for help. The event ended up being a lot of fun. Why? Because people got involved, saw the fuckery, and jumped in. Without the narrates/announcements from the eventmin, they wouldn't have known about the event.
I also got the excuse/opportunity to kill the people burning the casino down.

^ Pretty much this. Eventmins have access to the announces, which is how people might know that pillars of smoke are rising from parts of a village. Unless you're OOC running all over the village telling people about it, then whatever you're up to is very unlikely to get found unless you're doing something in the middle of the village, and then you're going to be stopped before you even get anywhere. Eventmins can supplement player events, they don't exist purely to birth them from nothing.
