To Students: There are great advantages to having something explained and demonstrated to you rather than trying to figure it out by yourself. Being taught, tutored, or trained by someone else enables you to learn jutsu who are one grade higher than what you can normally create/buy, so long as the jutsu is not a Semi-Unique, Unique, or a Hiden clan jutsu. Therefore, someone with T2 Katon who can only create/buy C ranks can now learn B ranks. Someone with T3 Taijutsu can create/buy B ranks and learn A ranks. This enables students to gain powerful techniques faster than they would have on their own. However, this does not come at no cost. You still have to practice and work on the skill in order to grasp it. Because of that, a teacher's guidance will now only halve jutsu costs rather than make them all completely free:
D - 0pp
C - 1pp
B - 2pp
A - 4pp
S - 8pp
On top of this, there is going to be a new limit on how many techniques that can be learned per week:
D- to D+ // 3 jutsus per week
C- to C+ // 2 jutsus per week
B- to B+ // 1 jutsu per week
A- to S // you can no longer learn jutsu from others
Furthermore, learning jutsu is rarely easy or simple. You still have to put time and effort into mastering them. In lieu of word or character count, we have simple guidelines:
D - 1 paragraph
C - 2 paragraphs
B - 4 paragraphs
A - 8 paragraphs
S - 16 paragraphs
These paragraphs can be written all in one day or over the course of a particular week of L/T. The week starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday, meaning that jutsu that you began L/Ting on Saturday but do not finish by Sunday will now count toward the next week's L/T. If you have the necessary paragraphs for a jutsu as well as the teacher's introductory RP, it'll count for this week's L/T and you can buy it at the reduced cost. If not, it'll be passed over and count for next week's L/T. The goal of this system is to encourage growth at lower grades that sets you up for success and also enables you to then teach others to become even better than you because you'll be equipped to teach them better techniques.
Note: Under this new system, you can no longer L/T professions or perks. You can, however, L/T martial styles. They do not count against your total for the week.
To Teachers: Educating others is a valuable experience that takes time and practice to hone. In order to be able to teach others, you must either be a Starter or have at least a T3 in the profession of the technique that you wish to teach. Exceptions can be made, but the goal with this limitation is to set a clear difference between lower grades and higher grades. We also want to encourage people to not teach their peers and, instead, teach those below them- so the teacher must be atleast one full grade above (or 2 steps above, assuming the student is D+ or below) the student for teaching to occur. Also, unless you're a Starter, you should not teach B, A, or S rank jutsu to multiple people in quick succession. Please exercise common sense on what is appropriate in that regard.
Teaching uniques, hiden, or willperks requires admin permission and will be handled on a case by case basis.
