Usually I just play the game but I've noticed the progression for newly made dr-characters. I don't understand how you can die and the next day you show up as an Uzumaki with T3 Fuuinjustu and lord knows how many others, I think at this point I just stopped giving a fuck about it.
Oh and Fivefold EC who just sits in the weaker-playerbase village and shit on them isn't fun either, fivefold serves no purpose.

They can literally get T3 Fuuinjutsu at C-, and T4 at B-....... I'm sorry that my DR upset you.

Jokes aside didn't even know that was your DR in the first place, either way scaling needs to be fixed, don't like it at all.

Here is my peace about WoN2- A dying game. The things I have to say, have already been stated for the most part. However, I would like to use raw and real material. Because if I don't - you guys will act oblivious. That said, the problem isn't pacing, or the story. Sure, one village would help with keeping players together to create motivation at this point, but it isn't the main issue. It isn't why people are leaving. You guys shouldn't act as if that is the case, especially when you know it isn't : )To start, the bias was becoming too obvious to ignore, as well as predictable - people got fed up. I for one, know that being bias is human nature. We all have friends on discord that we will cater to. There isn't anything wrong with it, but be transparent. It feels like you guys (the admins) didn't even care. Almost as if you thought it would be funny to see how the playerbase reacted. And sadly, I can't put that pass y'all, even though I am sure that isn't the case LOL. (Going to use names now, because it is obvious what people have.)
Jumpy and Nick, you two are the prime example. I personally have no problem with either of you, however, you have to see how bad and deterring this looks. You two ran the bijuu events in Konoha (mostly nick), but we all know that you were hand-and-hand in cooperation. Then, you both died shortly after it was sealed. Cool- probably scripted, but I see it as you guys giving a chance for the generations to move on. It felt good too, not because you two sacrificed your characters for the state of the wipe, but that you were willing to see it progress forward by handing off the leadership to the next in line- that is why I don't have much of a problem with what happened next. But, that doesn't mean others didn't. DR-Jinchuurikis (???) - that automatically stings people the wrong way. But, the fact that it felt 'planned' didn't sit too well, especially considering the timeline that it happened in. If you would like to sit here and say it wasn't planned, then cool. You know the mass won't believe that. Lets move on. That wasn't the straw that broke the camels back. About a week or two later- after you guys presumably get your amazing C+ DR's - the unthinkable happens. You receive the rank of 'B-', one which puts them back at their original power, maybe even stronger because of 'said-DR' (we know this is a massive leap in power). That said, people that had been playing for months prior hadn't reached it. People that are playing till this day haven't reached it. Nonetheless, in one smooth edit- you (the admins) shitted on your entire pbase, both stronger and weaker players. It was that simple. You basically told the server, that these two - did more in a couple of days then their characters had done over the course of months. That- when found out; took the life out of the server. Who would want to play something like that? It's demotivating. (Jumpy & Nick - I am not blaming either you. I know you guys didn't rank yourself. I just have to use you as an example because it is what everyone points to.) - This is what broke things. Or set everything into motion. It made it easier to quit and just leave when upset. Because in the back of their minds, it didn't matter what they did. Applications - A big yikes here. I'll be honest. It doesn't really apply to me. I'm usually told why. Whether, 'hey this isn't what we want in the game,' or 'it is too much like something else.' (They got better in this area for me, but I guess that wasn't the case for others) I don't really struggle in this area. I have a good idea prior to what will be accepted. Other people aren't so knowing. So without thorough explanation, finding out what is wanted and what isn't, is far more difficult. Especially without insight. However, what does bother me is the wait times. And once again- the favoritism. You can see when an effort is made to approve others stuff in a nice time-frame, while normal players wait a couple days, maybe even a week for responses and corrections. That sucks. It isn't fair- especially when you see others getting their stuff done quickly, like a pair of fast passes at a theme-park. Again- demotivating. In short- the things you complained about in MoS is coming full circle. Which.. in itself.. is fucking hilarious. The fact that it feels like the headmins don't care. The favoritism. Apps. All that. Anyways, I won't quit, because I enjoy my character's story. But, my activity will die down, much like the others has. There isn't much interest to play and you can't blame anyone here. I guess the next question is? - How can we fix it. And honestly, I don't know. Things are too far along to pull anything that'll make players just randomly return. For the most part, the trust is gone. And with the 'obvious' game on the horizon- people have something else to look forward too- rather than trudge through this. Sorry, not sorry. P.S - Why didn't I send this privately, because I didn't want to be meme'd in your group. Getting your concerns leaked isn't cool. I'd rather everyone see it. : ) (Milly)

Thank you for your honesty and concrete statements addressing what, honest to god, hadn't been told to me or brought to myself or Jumpy by any player or admin or eventmin, period. At least, until today.
.. It's quite the thing to find out that the problem you were trying to fix happened to be you all along. Thank you for not holding back, Jade. I, and the others who feel just like you do, are likely immensely appreciative of it.

The ranking up was the entire team (minus like maybe 1 person, because majority) vote.

I'm gonna talk your god damn heads off. WHY DID WON DIE? IS WON DEAD? WHY DID MY MOM LEAVE ME? Were Nick and Jumpy the criminal masterminds that ruined your game? Probably. I played the game since before the first timeskip, and grew to become fairly strong before dying. I would say my time on the game was overall pretty enjoyable and even the frustrations and faults that I experienced along the way, ultimately, made the hard won satisfaction of dickwaving my perks at other people worth it. MORE than that, I got to tell a compelling narrative and played a character I enjoyed. Shit was kosher. DRs: I think letting Nick and Jumpy make as like 13 and 14 year old kids with Jinchuuriki with that many points was retarded. They played the game since day 1. Gave a lot of time to it. Ran a lot of events. Gave good RP (in my opinion xd). I don't have a problem with what they got, more so how it was handled. The idea of a character being introduced and instantly ascending to that level of power is silly. The admin team pigeonholed themselves into a corner by setting a strict numerical equation for how to get someones DRs point total and ran with it on two Gen 1's who had never missed a check on a retarded system where every character, no matter how *actually* relevant, gets a 7. Oh gee fucking whizz I wonder how we ended up with two kids who have bijuus inside of them who are also just out of the box also really good ninjas. However, I don't think that anyone in their right minds should say that Nick and Jumpy are the offenders for getting what they wanted and playing the characters they want to play. Regardless of whether it's healthy for RP or not, they are simply players of the game. The rank up system, as a whole, is greatly flawed. the idea that people can play for months on end and not be super strong ninja on a game is stupid to me. if i invited you to my house and sat you down to play a tabletop roleplaying game and told you this was the game where we are all not shit and will never be shit i would fucking cry. jumpy and nick just wanted to be strong jinchuuriki. we all just wanted to be strong shinobi. the real injustice isn't that these characters are strong, but rather than other people didn't have similar kind of strength for all their efforts as well. if i play your dumbass 2d anime roleplay game on byond for a month and take time out of my real ass life with real ass shit to do so and you look me dead in the face and tell me i cant have whatever god damn rank or unique i want you're a fucking maniac. that isnt being power-hungry. it's just wanting respect for the effort you put into the game.now if you'll excuse me, i'm going to go back to smoking crack.

I wasn't going to post. But, yes. Seeing super young B- characters with fleshed out uniques, or even Jinch is super demotivating when starting out. It's hard to even want to try and do things. You just can't compete with it.
It's not about Jumpy or Nick on a personal level, I consider them both friends. So if you're reading this don't take it as some attack, or something like that. It's not. Just try to look at things in the perspective of a new player just starting out. How would you feel seeing something like that?

also for the record im a fan of being more relaxed with rank ups, and looking back won 100% should have had a hard system of, "once you hit [y] points, you get [x] rank." but hindsight i guess

Okay, let me address things point by point.
Nick's Post 1. Rank ups, from this point onward, will be easier. No, this does not mean you will get A- tomorrow. But we will be more lenient. The following is my own persoanl note, though: please don't make us regret that.
2. PP will be upped at the lower end, rather than cut at the higher end. Rewards will not slow down for the top, only increase for the bottom.
3. Setting up better systems for A- onward hasn't been discussed yet, but I'll bring it up.
Raz's Post 4. shut ur filthy trap you dirty australian bitch
5. The rank-ups that are being touted as bias were a mistake. No, I don't mean that as in "they weren't supposed to happen", I mean that as in "it's pretty generally regarded as a fuck up on our part and we acknowledge that". Sorry.
6. Been trying to fix the app response problem myself, and will be pushing other admins to do the same. Again: sorry. We'll be working toward being better.
Ret's Post 7. The only thing I know to address particularly from your post is "toxic players". If people are acting that way and making things unfun for you or others, let us know. We can try and do something.
Jade's Post 8. I've already addressed the 'bias' thing the best I can. So, I'll address the app thing: waiting times are an unfortunate side-effect of the fact that we only have roughly three admins. Yes, Jack exists, but trailmins don't have voting privileges quite yet. I don't do jutsu/perk apps because I'm ass at balance, leaving Dani and Milly to the job, and they're only two people. I genuinely don't know what you mean when you say certain people get their things approved faster, though. Apps are done in bulk batches. When one person has their app responded to, just about every other person who has an app up has theirs responded to as well, with small exceptions (sometimes, one of the two passes an app off to the other 'cause they don't know how to handle it). Unique apps take a while 'cause we do have to wait on a majority to get in and vote. I wish I knew how to fix this problem beyond 'get more admins', but... well, I don't.
Kaz's Post 9. On the DR stuff, yeah. We've fixed that. I can't remember if we put it in the TS post, but DRs now equal starting PP + 10% of your old character's PP.
10. The rank-up system's only flaw, in my opinion, is that we've been too harsh on higher-end ranks. I disagree with the mindset of 'if we've been playing for months, we should be super strong!'. Rewards should go to people who actively contribute toward the state of the game, and a lot of people just... exist. We try to reward proactive rather than reactive characters. If you've been proactive, actively participating in and causing RP, then fuck yeah, we should give you strength, and in some cases, we've been falling short on that-- but like I said earlier, we'll be more lax with ranks. If your existence is just, as the saying goes, 'going to the ramen shop with your tarp', then you'll fall below the rest.
11. if you've got crack why the fuck ain't you sharin, this shit stresses me out i need relief :(
Okay. I think I got everything. Will respond to any retorts/questions/fuckoffhiazis/etc when I get home this afternoon.
