I don't think it's a matter of gen 1s not wanting to teach their uniques to people, moreso a thing whereas they can't, really.
It's not really every day you run into a student that's dedicated to you enough for you to feel comfortable passing down your unique to. Even if you do, there's a chance that they've already got their own uniques from being a DR that prevent you from doing so, or are just members of a clan, so they naturally won't be able to get as much from your skillset.

dani the reason i wanted to teach that c- yuki ice mirrors was because i was trying to do my duty as a starter and pass down the shit that i got before i left the game for a little while. said c- yuki was the only one capable of learning. i didn't think it through that it was too early- i'm the first to admit i'm shit at balance. i was just tryin to do what i believed was the right thing to do.
so please none of that 'it was done because ooc friends' shit. that kind of accusation annoys me. it was a shit decision that i'm fine being memed on for, but just not that

Since when does L/T take into account whether you already have a unique or not? Like I understand not passing down Rasengan to the iron sand dude because it would be very ill fitting... but meeting the requirements to learn a unique from a teacher should not be as difficult as meeting the requirements to develop something on your own.

U shouldn’t be offended by it, but I was using it to prove my point which is still very true. For all it matters I’m sure u had the best intentions deep down in ur heart since you’re actually retarded that way to be so genuine and honest I won’t take that away from u hiazi, we’re friends (kinda)

@seraph
The argument you proposed can be countered by unique thresholds being raised for newer kiddos - So that the things they DRd with, assuming it isn't Jinchuuriki or something else absurd - Can be used in tandem with the things their higher ups can teach them. It's Boruto esque on purpose

And it isn’t ? LOL That doesn’t mean we won’t stop people from teaching rasengan to someone who’s never fought for example. It’s easier to learn a unique, yes, but that does not guarantee getting it.

You can actually fuck right off with the Yuki ice mirrors thing, because there was no possible way that they could have taught it to anyone else. I was the only other Yuki, and that unique wasn't available to me because I didn't have the Ancient Ice perk. There was no choice if they wanted to teach it, it had to be Nick. It's actually unfair and pretty delusional to use that as an example of people teaching friends because of OOC.

I never said they taught it to nick over someone else who deserved it more— nope. I said that I think the friends part played into the decision of teaching it at that time so early. I do believe hiazi had the best intentions deep inside but I think it still played a part when he made that decision etc. Maybe he didn’t even notice/wasn’t aware of it. L o L. Legit don’t know why y’all felt like I was saying something so bad about him. I like hiazi and on most days of the week I like nick too. 😊
